about me

Someone put out a wet floor sign… It’s Slippery Sloane! Originally from Prince George, B.C., located on the traditional unceded territory of the Lheildi T’enneh, I am a classically trained ex-professional contemporary dancer turned heels performer, pole dancer, and most recently, drag king (aka Wet WIlly). I was a principal dancer with Method Dance Society from 2020-2023. Since relocating to Victoria, B.C., on the traditional territory of the Lekwungen speaking peoples, the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, I have been training at Luminesque Dance (where I am now a part of their teaching faculty) and PoleCoven, and I have performed heels and pole dance across Victoria and Vancouver. While I have extensive experience in many artistic mediums, including digital works and live art installations, I live to perform live onstage for an audience. Since beginning heels and pole dance, I have had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of performance opportunities, including gogo dancing, floor shows, and stage shows at venues like Capital Ballroom, Celebrities Nightclub, and Dance Victoria in addition to several local bar venues. With diverse training and experience (including classical ballet, modern, contemporary, tap, hip hop, jazz, musical theatre, heels and pole dance), my work has evolved to combine technique, performance, sexuality, and camp into multidisciplinary performance art.

I have recently begun my teaching journey and teach heels dance at Lumineque in Victoria, B.C. I also offer my own independent heels dance drop-ins: Slip n’ Slide. I am continuing to learn and grow as a facilitator and am finding immense joy in inspiring others, helping dancers grow their skills and confidence, and sharing my love for movement with my community and beyond.
